Summer things to do in Ithaca

To those who tell me that Ithaca is boring and there’s nothing to do:

– Go swimming at the state parks, in the gorges, in outdoor pools –
– Go mini-golfing –
– Get brunch and groceries at the Farmers’ Market –
– Dine and shop on the Commons –
– Take a walk through the Cornell Plantations –
– Do some picnicking or grilling at the state parks, Stewart park, the Plantations, etc. –
– See a cheap movie at Cornell Cinema –
– Go berry picking –
– Climb the clocktower and listen to a chimes concert –
– Go bargain hunting at garage sales –
– Get ice cream at Purity –
– See a show at the State Theater or Hangar Theater –
– Go on a wine tour –
– Sunbathe on Libe Slope –
– Rent a canoe or kayak from Cornell Outdoor Education –
– Bird watch at the Lab of Ornithology-
– Go hiking in the gorges-
– Attend one of the many free outdoor concerts on the Commons-

A friend once told me that all I eat is chocolate and cheese. I was both disturbed and amused to realize that he was right.
