This is probably the most excited for a movie I’ve been all summer, and that’s including the last Harry Potter movie and Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris. In Whistleblower, which is based on the real-life story of Kathryn Bolkovak, Rachel Weisz plays Bolkovak, an American police officer in a UN peacekeeping mission who uncovers the organization’s involvement in sex trafficking.

The NY Times did a piece on the movie; read it (and watch an exclusive clip) here:

The cast features Rachel Weisz, Vanessa Redgrave, Monica Belluci, David Strathair, and Benedict Cumberbatch (who if you’ve recently talked to me at all know that I’ve become slightly obsessed with o_o). The US release date is August 5th.

Edit (8/2/2011): Ok, I guess I’d also be pretty excited if Cinemapolis decided to show The Devil’s Double which premiered at Sundance last weekend.

A friend once told me that all I eat is chocolate and cheese. I was both disturbed and amused to realize that he was right.
