Just because I’ve made it through two years of college doesn’t mean that I’ve learned everything there is to learn. I’ve also picked up a depressing number of bad habits that I’d like to break. So here’s a list of things that I need to work on changing or improving:
- Sleep less during class. Falling asleep during class sucks. You don’t learn the material, and then you end up pulling-all nighters to catch up, and then you’re tired and fall asleep in class again…. I suppose this means sleep more and/or caffeinate more. I know it’s not always (or just never…) realistic to get 7-8 hours of sleep a night, so hello coffee addiction!
- Eat right. Now that I no longer have a meal plan and the luxury of all-you-can eat dining, I’m going to need to make the effort to do more than subsist off of hummus sandwiches and white rice. Or going broke by eating at Aladdins all the time. That probably means some cooking. Ugh. Who has time for cooking?
- Buy fewer things I don’t need. I have a bit of an online shopping addiction. Sales, free shipping, free samples, promo codes, online outlets… I am a total victim to online marketing. I’ve anxiously watched my room and closet fill up with great deals, but not necessarily things that I would use or wear often. Quality over quantity, Eva. Quality over quantity….
- Be more outgoing. It’s way too easy for me to hole up and collapse from exhaustion every evening and every weekend. I realized that I barely know anyone in my major which is sad and worrisome because I’ll be trying to pass pchem without the help of any chem buddies… Having friends is also just nice in general and stuff
